Man became civilized for a reason. He decided that he liked to have warmth, and clothing and television. And hamburgers. And to walk upright. And to have a soft futon at the end of the day. He didn't want to have to struggle to survive. I don't need the woods. I have a nice, wood desk. I don't need fresh air. Because I have the freshest air around. A/C. --Michael Scott
A week before Audrey's birthday, she decided it was time to walk. It's not graceful and she's still not a huge fan, but we are so excited for this huge step (no pun intended) in Audrey's life.
We all had so much fun with Audrey's first Christmas. Audrey was (of course) spoiled, Mom opened twice as many presents as normal and Dad was on camera duty. Since Ryan's parents moved to Lehi we had less driving time and more family time. I think my favorite part was when Ryan and I stayed up late getting Audrey's presents ready for when she woke up. I hope I feel that way for years to come!
Audrey's first BYU football season was a success in more ways than one. The first is that she made it through every single game. The only one she didn't "sit" through was the first when it was over a hundred degrees. Mom and Audrey spent a lot of the time under the bleachers for that one. The second way was that BYU went undefeated in Conference and won the Conference title for the second year in a row. We had so much fun and we know this will be a family tradition for years to come.

For Audrey's first Halloween, she was a lady bug. She was a pretty cute lady bug, I have to say! We visited both sets of grandparents and they were thrilled with her. She somehow knew that it was picture time and she sat and posed for as many pictures as we wanted to take.
Very soon after Audrey started to crawl, she realized she could also stand and even walk as long as she holds on to something. She's one step away from walking (literally). She is so proud of herself.
Audrey has had some fun milestones the last couple of months. She started to eat baby food and started crawling both at six months! She still needs some work at eating (she likes to rub it all over her face and sometimes swallows better than other times) but she is a great crawler.
